Protect our assets with contrat d’insaisissabilité retrospectively?

My husband and I run a gite °µÍø½ûÇø in France and registered the °µÍø½ûÇø on the auto-entrepreneur scheme in May 2012. I have just read about the document contrat d’insaisissabilité that I think protects a °µÍø½ûÇø owner’s house (assets) should there be a claim made against them.
It seems that we may have missed the boat as I’ve read that this contract needs to be drawn up before registering the °µÍø½ûÇø. If this is the case, is there anything that we can do retrospectively? We do have a professional insurance policy in place?
